It was opened in 1907
with eight pupils. With 7500 strait Dollars (roughly RM500,000 today)
from the British government at that time, the first buildings on Jalan Sultan Idris (Brewster Road) were constructed in timber, the school office, a chapel and the Sisters' quarter. Credit to (Ipohtown,2009)
